I remember the first time I tried out a menstrual cup…
\nIt was a Saturday morning and I was wearing my white pajamas well, they weren’t white anymore<\/em>…
\nFortunately, I had already planned to test out a menstrual cup and happened to have bought one a few days ago.<\/p>\n

Now I had to. The time had come for the cup to prove itself, or at least I thought so…. <\/p>\n

I walked to the bathroom, sat down on the toilet, took the cup out of the package, took a closer look at it and took a deep breath. \u201c\u201d LET’S DO THIS \u201c\u201d…I thought I knew how to insert it because of all the videos I watched on the subject. The cup revolution had begun and I was ready to be a part of it! <\/p>\n

But then the question was, \u201c\u201d Which way do I fold the cup in?\u201c\u201d<\/strong><\/h1>\n

  • C-fold?<\/li>\n
  • Punch down fold?<\/li>\n
  • 7-fold?<\/li>\n
  • E-fold?<\/li>\n
  • Caracol fold?\u201c\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    AND…<\/em> do you know there is also an origami fold!!!?<\/p>\n

    I was sure it was going to be intimate, very intimate. I really should have lit candles with it.<\/em><\/p>\n

    I started with the C-fold, thinking this would be the easiest. The thing was that I couldn’t find my vajayjay hole to put the cup in, the cup popped open, blood was everywhere … all over my hands, toilet, legs and of course my now red pajamas<\/em>. <\/p>\n

    Next time I should just try putting the cup in when I am showering. I’ve read that water can be used as a lubricant. And if you are spotless the act<\/em> will be a little easier. <\/p>\n

    I kept trying … because, of course, I am a woman. We can go through childbirth. So a cup? That’s going to be mean, of course. For two hours I sat on the toilet and tried all the different folds. I got very stressed, so I started thinking about different ways I can destroy the cup. Do I flush it down the toilet? Do I feed it to the dog? Do I throw it out the window? Maybe bury it anyway? What a hassle. <\/p>\n

    I took one last deep breath<\/em>; I started all over again … and guess what? The C-fold turned out better that I could have ever expected … 2 hours had passed … 10 folds had also passed. And suddenly my cup was perfectly in place in just 10 seconds. \u201c\u201d Hey hey \u201c\u201d whispered my cup inside <\/em>… Relief … <\/p>\n

    After all the failed attempts, I finally got mjin cup in. I found out that patience <\/em>is the most important trait when inserting a cup. <\/p>\n

    And remember … the cup doesn’t have to prove itself; you prove yourself by patiently learning. Placing a cup is not easy … and we know that. <\/p>\n
