But believe it or not, there are also some really good sides to these hormones and their fluctuations. The sex hormones are estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. Now what makes the difference is the amount of hormones we have as men and women. For example, men also have estrogen and progesterone and we women also have testosterone, just much lesser amounts. But this hormone has an effect on more than just the female body, so   <\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">estrogen also provides stronger bones, normal blood pressure and  <\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">emotional balance. Progesterone also reduces the stimulation of   <\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">the muscles in the uterus, so there is less chance of rejecting a fertilized  <\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">ovum. Also, testosterone makes you build muscle faster on   <\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">can build, and is primarily responsible for maintaining and  <\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">developing male characteristics. But then why do we women suffer so much from this, if the hormones are actually so good for us? This has everything to do with the fluctuations of these hormones during the menstrual cycle. Each phase of the cycle, involves different hormones.
